Our Why
Our why boils down to calling and need. God spoke to us individually and as a couple to obey the Great Commission. We have committed to obedience to the Lord and to say yes to Him in all things. Little ‘yes’s’ have become bigger and bigger. Our yes’s form a life of obedience in giving of ourselves to others.
In America there is 1 minister for every 200 people, while in the world there is less than 1 minister per millions of people. There are 85,000 ministry workers in world and 435,000 Avon sales people in United States alone. Oswald J. Smith said, “No one has the right to hear the Gospel twice, while there remains someone who has not heart it once.”
Time is short with more and more countries closing the doors to Christian workers. On average 94% of the ordained ministers serve 9% of the world population. This figure made us realize how crucial our obedience to the Lord’s calling is and how much we are work there is other parts of the world.
